Discarded Visions - Curator
Discarded Visions is a virtual exhibit curated by Eszter Zimanyi to accompany the Fall 2022 special issue of Spectator on the theme of “waste.” The exhibit features the work of five different visual artists: Crispin Hughes, Jan Ijäs, Elizabeth (Liz) Miller, Nisarg, and Szilvia Ruszev. Each artist takes a different approach to waste as material and conceptual matter. Their works are accompanied by original soundscapes designed by multi-modal artist Philip Meyer.

USC Middle Eastern Film Screening Series - Co-organizer and Discussion Moderator
The University of Southern California’s Middle Eastern Film Screening Series showcased films from the Middle East and North Africa to the campus community. The films’ directors or invited experts from the region participated in live Q&A discussions following screenings. Co-organized with Camillia Shofani from 2015-2018. Moderated discussions included: The Wanted 18 with director Amer Shomali, Warring Factions with director Justin Mashouf, and Head On (directed by Fatih Akin).

Co-organizer of the 2015 Women’s Voices Now Film Festival. Hosted by the Levantine Cultural Center in Los Angeles, CA, June 6-7th. Women’s Voices Now is a non-profit organization that uses film to drive positive social change and advance women’s and girl’s rights globally.

Histories Absolved: Revolutionary Cuban Poster Art and the Muslim International Exhibit - Assistant Curator
Curated by Sohail Daulatzai, Histories Absolved was on view in Los Angeles from November 15 - December 13, 2014. The exhibit featured rare posters created by Cuba’s OSPAAAL (Organization for Solidarity with the Peoples of Africa, Asia, and Latin America) between the 1960s - 80s. Sponsored by the LA/Islam Arts Initiative.

A 120-page commemorative catalog accompanying Return of the Mecca: The Art of Islam and Hip Hop, curated by Sohail Daulatzai in partnership with the LA/Islam Arts Initiative. The limited edition catalog contains an extended interview with Yasiin Bey (Mos Def), essays by Chuck D (Public Enemy) and Sohail Daulatzai, and photographs, artwork, and ephemera from the exhibit. Return of the Mecca ran in Los Angeles from October 4 - November 22, 2014.
